On the basis of contract signed in 2006 with the Ministry of Culture of the Regional Government of Kurdistan, the reconstruction of Fatah Chalabi House (No. 220) in the Erbil Citadel has been carried out for the purpose of the Gema Art Office and the Archeological and Training Center.
GEMA ART GROUP a.s. has performed works as follows: complete reconstruction of interior walls incl. renders, design and implementation of electricity distribution, water supply and sewage drains, reconstruction of staircases; leveling of the yard surface, “Farshi” tiles paving of the basement and yard, renovation of the central and eastern terrace, isolation of roof, restoration of stone elements, reconstruction of architectural parts and southern terrace using local natural marble from Sulaymania region. The project was carried out according to the design made by Hulec and Spicka Architects,
The Fatah Chalabi House has been equipped for its intended purpose and is ready to be used as the base Administration, training courses as well archaeological base for forthcoming projects in Erbil Citadel.
