The residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of India dates back to the 1920s. The historic villa is located in a prestigious residential area on Šárecká Street, within the ``protected zone of the Prague Heritage Reserve.``
The subject of the work being carried out is the comprehensive revitalization of the entire building. The work therefore includes the remediation of the foundation masonry against moisture, the reconstruction of the roof trusses and roof, extensive modifications to the interior structures, and the installation of all utilities.
Work is being carried out under a special regime to restore the original wooden door frames, windows, doors, parquet floors, staircases, and decorative and artistic elements. The project, which also includes landscaping and garden modifications, will be completed in 2027.
