We have acquired extensive experience in the field of conservation of monuments under the auspices of UNESCO and also within the framework of the European Union’s Phare Program.
Europa Nostra Award
A number of the projects undertaken by our experts has won major awards, including the Europa Nostra Award for Cultural Heritage. The first project, that acquired this award in 2001, was the project of the Restoration of the Kynžvart Chateau, then the project of the complete Restoration of the Wallenstein Palace, seat of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, was the second in 2002. The project of Preservation of St. Wencesas Rotunda was the latest of our projects that was awarded by the Europa Nostra Award, in 2018. The jury appreciated the way of visual presentation and interpretation of archaeological layers and the Rotunda remains. This project was commended as an example of restoration “in situ” and as an example of involvement of students into the project implementation.
Project of the year of the Liberec region
The project restoration of the Glasswork Museum in Kristiánov – was awarded in 2016 as the Project of the year of the Liberec Region.
PATRIA NOSTRA AWARD 2020
Liberec Region PATRIA NOSTRA 2020 PRICE – GEMA ART was awarded for the restoration project of Kristiánov Monument House No. 52 (so-called “Liščí bouda”). The new exposition of the museum “Sklářská osada Kristiánov” near Bedřichov is now in restored monument, that was the most important of the forest glassworks in the Jizera Mountains for almost a hundred years.
The PATRIA NOSTRA AWARD was given by Mr. Martin Puta, President of the Liberec Region, to the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec (Investor), Atelier 4 (Design) and GEMA ART GROUP a.s. (Implementation).
