The scope of the work involves the restoration of old prints, manuscripts, and historical plans, including their bindings. The first phase of the work includes the restoration of prints from the 15th and 16th centuries, while the second phase focuses on manuscripts and prints from the 17th to 19th centuries.
The project builds on the successful restoration work carried out for the Liberec Museum between 2021 and 2023. Restorers are currently working to preserve items from the collections of the oldest museum of applied arts in the Czech lands, the North Bohemian Museum in Liberec (founded in 1873). In the first phase, 21 historical prints from the 15th and 16th centuries are being gradually restored. The second phase involves the restoration of a total of 20 rare manuscripts and prints dating from the 17th to the 19th centuries.
