The Ma’an station complex is an important historical site in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Ma’an and its railway station were the seat of the first government of the Kingdom of Jordan, Abdullah I, and therefore the building known as the Royal Palace is depicted on the reverse of the 5 Jordanian Dinar note.

Točník Castle

The castle Točník was built between 1395 and 1398 by King Václav IV at the upper end of the stone ridge of Zámecká hora (Castle mountain) which has been settled already in the Hallstatt Period. At the lower end of the same ridge the Žebrák castle had been located before. Both of these castles are situated above the municipality of Točník, near the town of Žebrák.

Matthias Gate, Prague Castle

An important landmark of the entrance to Prague Castle from Hradčany Square is Matthias Gate. The most admired element of the entrance gate are the stone sculptures forming part of the massive fencing of the first courtyard of Prague Castle. The subject of restoration intervention in 2015 was the conservation treatment of this sculptural decoration.
