Reconstruction of the Christian House in Pilsen

The building of the rectory of the Pilsen Diocese of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church was built in 1865-1869 according to the design of the architect W. Daniel as an evangelical chapel and school building. The building is a protected cultural monument since 27 November 2001.

Troja castle – stone plinth, Prague

In November 2023, restoration work on the restoration of the stone sandstone plinth of Troja Castle was completed. The work on this exceptional Baroque monument, dating from the 17th century, also included the restoration of the entrance stone portal and balcony.

Restoration of the shrine in Shush, Iraq

The subject of the project to preserve the shrine of the prophet Ezekiel in Shush was the survey and documentation of the monument first, and then a static securing and restoration of this synagogue. On the basis of the conducted survey, an implementation project of the rescue was prepared.

Minaret of the Erbil Citadel Grand Mosque II, Iraq

On the basis of a contract concluded with the Erbil Province, the restoration of the Minaret of the Grand Mosque at the Erbil Citadel began on 2 April 2022. The signing of this contract was preceded by the ceremonial signing of the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), between GEMA ART International, the High Commission for the Erbil Citadel Revitalization (HCECR), Erbil Province and KAR Group, the oil company that is financing the project.

Minaret of the Erbil Citadel Grand Mosque I, Iraq

The work was carried out under a contract with the High Commission for the Erbil Citadel Revitalization with financial support from the Kurdish oil company KAR Group. The scope of work was to carry out a structural and restoration survey of the minaret of the Grand Mosque of the Citadel and to prepare a project for the preservation of this monument. The Erbil Citadel is an important historical site, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2016.

Aid for Mosul – Advanced Restoration Course

After a one-year break caused by the global pandemic Covid-19, it was possible to implement an advance education program in Iraq only in 2021. The course was implemented on the basis of assistance from the Government of the Czech Republic, within the framework of the implementation of the Iraq Assistance Program. GEMA ART International prepared the course in close cooperation with the Czech National Heritage Institute and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The four-week course was held from September 5th to September 30th 2021 at the Iraqi Institute for the Conservation of Antiquities and Heritage (IICAH) based in Erbil.

Žleby Chateau

The original Žleby Castle was first mentioned in 1289. The current form of the Žleby state Chateau is a magnificent romantic noble residence with extensive collections of weapons, luxury furniture and original everyday objects. Because of its beauty, the castle is a popular destination for filmmakers and tourists. The castle offers visitors an excursion into the everyday life of the nobility in the 19th century. In order to improve the service to the public, the creation of new visitor facilities has been the subject of work.

Kozel Chateau

Building of the Kozel Chateau was a “greenfield investment” in the 18th century and it is therefore one of the few classicist chateaus in Bohemia that were not built by rebuilding an older building. The chateau was completed in 1789. In the following ten years, it was extended with a riding hall, stables, a footman’s lodge and the Chapel of the Holy Cross, which is the subject of ongoing works.
